As we all are aware, module is the most important element in any programme that we organized. Through module people can evaluate the overall performance of the programme. If the module is interesting, people will consider that the programme successful, but if the module is not interesting, people will consider the programme as fail. The question now is how to create an interesting module? Here some tips on how to create an interesting module: Identify what is the concept of the programme e.g. motivation, team building or spiritual enhancement. Develop module based on that concept. Know your target audience. Identify their level, age, and environment. Know the interest of your audience. Identify what is their interest and affection. Create module base on that information. e.g. module for children must involve a lot of movement and fun. Make research and analysis. Browse through the previous module and try to improvise. VIRTUES OF A TRAINER: HONEST H : Honesty Being a trainer, the important thing is honesty. One needs to be honest not just to him or her self, but also to others in general. Through honesty one can create trust among others. O : Open A trainer needs to have an open attitude which means open to others. Alhamdullillah, on the 2nd - 4th October 2009, AKHI Club had managed to organized it second training programme which is AKHI Intensive Mentoring Course. It was held at Glory Beach Resort, Port Dickson Negeri Sembilan. The main objective of this programme is to exposed to the participants on leadership aspect and its relation to mentoring. The participants is about 30 people. All of them are mentors of AKHI Club abnd some other invited participants. The programme started with the ice-breaking session which was conducted by Br. Sofiyussalam and Br. Mohd Ikhwan. On the next day, there was a talk by Br. Mohd Rizal Hassan, who is a trainer for Take Charge Consultancy on the topic of leadership and management. The total number of participants is roughly around 80 persons. The venue were National Zoo and Royal Selangor. It was and and exciting experience. Though there several choatic situation, but everything was under control. On behalf of AKHI Club management, I would like to express my appreciation and congratulation to all the committees and those who involved in making this programme a success. On the 9th of August 2009, AKHI Club has successfully organized AKHI 6th Mentoring which is the continues programme held throughout the year. The venue is at Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam. The number of participants is about 70 people. This is the second time AKHI organize it mentoring programme outside IIUM. The reason is mainly because, we want to expose to the mentees to the new environment as this could stimulate their learning process. More over, they could learn many new things and gain a lot of experience. The focus of this mentoring is Mathematics. They were given exercise on that subject to test their understanding with the guidance from mentors. Besides, academics aspect, sahsiah aspect also were given priority. Only those who steadfast in their work and commitment shall succeed and inherit triumph. Let us all strive our best for the success in the future insyaallah. Alhamdullillah, AKHI managed to organized its second phase training for mentor which is AKHI Retreat Camp on the 9th to 11th July 2009. The focus of this training is to train the mentor physically and mentally as to prepare them to face any challenges in the future. The program was held at CERMAS Agro Park, Bentong Pahang. It was an exiting and trilling camping. Among the activities done there are like: visiting elephant conservation centre, deerland, night walk, obstacle course, jungle tracking and many more. Alhamdullilah , a couple weeks ago AKHI Club managed to organized AKHI Quranic Camp which was held at IIUM SHAS Mosque dated 5 th June t0 7 th June 2009. The focus of the program was to inculcated the awareness of the importance of knowing the Quran and implementing its teaching in our daily lives. The participants were exposed to the right method and ways of reciting the Quran . Through out the three days program all the participants were excited and focus with full attention. This programme involved roughly 50 participants and 20 mentors. Hopefully all the participants would benefited a lot from this programme. As we all know, Quran is the guidance in muslim life. It was held at Institute of Education. Not many mentor available during the program due to not many are taking short semester. The participants are around 60 students. Most of the organizing committees are among new members. This mentoring focuses on mathematics and tilawah. The program went on smoothly though there are some occurring problems. But other than that everything is according to plan alhamdullillah. AKHI would like express full appreciation to all committees for their efforts and contribution in making the program a success. May you all will sucess in this garden of knowledge insyaallah. Semester 3 has already started. As the semester begin, AKHI Club resume its activities. During this semester, AKHI has planned several activities for its members and participants. Among which are mentoring and camp. Hopefully all that have been planned are able to be exercise accordingly. Though during this semester not many people available, but with strong willingness and committment from members of AKHI, insyaallah AKHI will manage to conduct all the programs accordingly. Assalamualaikum, to all my dear AKHIANZ, may you all are under the bounties and rahmah from Allah insyaallah. AKHi is one of the mentoring base club under CENSERVE Unit IIUM, besides other club like Gemilang and Sendi Saga. Though we share the same nature of program but each of the club has its own uniqueness and specialty. Mentoring means that one person will be mentor and one person will be mentee. In AKHI case, the members of AKHI will be mentor and the school children will be the mentee. Now, as a mentor, what do we really need to do? I'm sure many of us wondering the same question. Being a mentor firstly one must prepare him or herself in terms of physical and mental aspect. One cannot blindly being a mentor without prior preparation.
